Manifestation for Beginners

Manifestation for Beginners

Manifestation isn’t just creating a vision board, and then your dreams come into fruition. You need to take action, align with who you want to be, what life will fill your soul, to be in a constant state of preparation and be open to seeing the synchronicities of the Universe.

What is manifestation?

Manifestation refers to aligning with the energy of the things you what to bring it into your life.

Humans are spiritual beings with free will, and I believe you’re here to co-create your life and future with the Universe. If you know me, you know I am not ‘woo woo’ in the traditional sense, but I do believe in the energy of the Universe

Say you want to manifest a way to better your community or find a fulfilling career where you can be of service. You would send out that intention to the Universe and follow the rules of manifestation to guide your desired outcomes and goals into fruition.

Manifestation became quite popular in the 2000s, and many thought they just had to want their desired outcome or goals and create a vision board, and the Universe would deliver it on their doorsteps the next day.

Wrong!

The process of manifestation is more complex and involved than that. Yes, the Universe will do most of the heavy lifting, send you breadcrumbs to point you in the right direction, but you need to do your part by being open to receiving the signs and taking action.

Here are 11 guidelines to follow when manifesting your desired outcome or goals into your life. I followed, and still follow, these guidelines when creating my goals and designing my life. Co-creation baby!

State of constant preparation

Manifestation for Beginners State of Preparation

A state of constant preparation refers to your ability to work with what you have while waiting for what you want.

If you know me, you know I invest a lot of my time preparing, researching, asking questions and reviewing – it’s a slight obsession of mine.

What I am doing is preparing for an eventuality, I know one will come along, not sure when, but when the opportunity presents itself I want to be ready for it.

When the opportunity arises, I can take action.

Manage what you have

Where your focus goes, so does your energy.

When you focus on how to get something, you become process-orientated. That’s great if you want to teach someone else how to have what they want.

Instead, focus your energy on managing well what you have.

Say you want more love in your life, you would focus your energy on receiving well the love you have and being loving towards others — the universe multiples what you do, not what you say.

Money might be your object of desire, who couldn’t do with a bit more money. You would pay your bills on time, put away savings, spend only on things you need or really want. You’d be intentional, not wasteful with your money.

The Universe tends to amplify what you’re already doing for yourself.

Be realistic but 10x your wants and goals

As you human beings, we often put limits on what we think we are capable of achieving. Manifestation can help you discover that there are more possibilities for you than you ever imagined.

Say you had a substantial amount of debt, and you’re trying to manifest a sum of money that will pay off your debt in a few weeks and requires little or no effect on your part. This goal is unrealistic and unattainable. The Universe doesn’t just give you what you want; you have to take action

Instead, set goals to pay off your debt.

You would read finance books on how to make your money work for you, how to save even if you only have a small amount, you would learn strategies on how to clear the debt and stay out of debt.

You might start a side hustle, ask for a promotion or a raise at work, work overtime, sell some of your clutter – two birds with one stone!

Become resourceful instead of relying on more resources.

The skills you will learn on that journey are invaluable. If you expect the Universe to give you what you want with no effort, you won’t grow and learn. You will probably end up with more debt and never break the cycle!

You are capable of great things when you focus your energy on growing and developing your skills and abilities. Let yourself daydream, go outside of your comfort zone, no limitations, and image what you’re capable of achieving.

Align with what you want

How do you get what you want if you don’t know what you want?

You need to understand why you are in the position you are and make a strategy to change it.

Write out your top 3 desires or goals you want to achieve. Think of 3 people you know or know of who have the things you want or have already achieved the goals you have set for yourself. Next, in a state of constant preparation, do your research.

Learn as much as you can about the habits of these people, their lifestyle, the foods they eat, their personal growth practices, how did they achieve their goal? Do they have processes and systems in place? Can you replicate or implement what they did or are doing to achieve your goal?

Invest time and learn how to have your goal, not get it.

The Universe plays a significant part in the ‘how to get it’. Trust that the Universe will provide you with what you need to achieve your goals. Play your role and align with your goals.

If it’s money you want to come into your life, do well with the money you have:

  • Are your goals in alignment with the money you have?
  • Do you spend within your means?
  • Do you want money because you feel you lack other things?
  • Are you wasteful with your money?
  • Are you respectful of your money?

Set your intention in writing

Manifestation for Beginners Set your intention in writing

I have written about it multiple times, and I will continue to write about it. Yes, it’s journaling!

Journaling can be a powerful way to help you align with your goals and set your intention into the Universe. Journaling holds you accountable during the process, tracks your progress, keeps you focused and engaged for better results.

Manifestation can be marathons or sprints, all depending on the goals you want to achieve. Your goals may evolve along the way; they may form into bigger goals or multiply into many little goals over a longer time frame.

Journaling allows you to see the progression and growth of your goals that you may miss along the journey. Revise and update it along the way.

Be open to signs and synchronicities

When you start manifesting your desired outcomes and goals, you enter into a co-creative process with a universe. Meaning you embrace positive influences and assistance of all beings in the Universe.

The Universe works in mysteries ways, listening and responding, by sending signs and synchronicities; all you have to do is be open to receiving them.

Synchronicities are essentially meaningful coincidences, telling you you’re on the right path — winks and nods from the Universe if you will.

Think about it this way; the Universe does most of the heavy lifting; you just have to take action, right? So, the Universe drops breadcrumbs that lead you to your desired outcome or clues on how to achieve your goal.

Example:

  • A friend could recommend a book that describes what you’re trying to manifest
  • You come across an email that directly relates to your current situation
  • A course you have wanted to take but couldn’t afford goes on sale
  • A trip you have been dreaming of forever the flights goes on sale
  • You come across an ad for your dream job position
  • Youtube recommends a video that relates to an issue you are trying to solve
  • An influencer you follow mentions a podcast that speaks to your current situation

The list could go on! Be open to the clues and breadcrumbs the Universe is sending you!

Create a habit to align with your manifestation

As mentioned above, manifestation can be either a marathon or a sprint; you might be manifesting for a week, two months or even a few years. So, creating a habit to align and touch base with your desired outcomes and goals is essential to keep you motivated and on track.

You might create a habit of regularly journaling about your progress. Tracking the significate signs the Universe sends you, any breakthrough ideas or anything else you experience along the way.

Be mindful of the process and how it will evolve

Manifestation is an organic process that will take as long as it takes so be mindful of how your intention grows and changes along the journey. As your intention evolves, so will the process.

Again, the Universe works mysteriously and sends you signs about what you need now, not what you think you need. When journaling about your manifestation, be sure to ask yourself what you are learning along your journey. Each sign and experience will make sense eventually, even if it seems like the Universe is sending you in the wrong direction.

As Tony Robbins says “Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you.”

Say you are manifesting a change of career. You might receive signs pointing you to improving your mental and physical health. The Universe could be telling you that you need first to handle this to have the physical and emotional energy in preparation for a new career change.

Balance your energy with gratitude

When practised, gratitude can increase your sense of contentment, peace and even joy. It could be something as small as your favourite cup of coffee in the morning, or as big as you’re about to start a family.

When you want something badly enough that isn’t in your life, it is easy to become frustrated, negative, cynical even, and ver off track. The effects of feeling gratitude can dramatically alter and increase your energy levels and promote balance and alignment between your emotions and energy levels.

You can harness this power to help you along your journey of achieving your desired outcomes and goals.

Fruition requires action steps

As mentioned above the Universe will do most of the heavy lifting. All you need to do is take action on the signs once received. Easy right?

Taking action might require some healthy risk-taking, trying new things, or putting yourself out of your comfort zone in many different ways. Personal growth!

Sometimes there might not be something to “do”, you might just need to go about your life and let your manifestation work in the background.

You should be regularly touching base with your manifestation and make sure you are taking action on the signs you have received. Ask yourself “Am I taking action steps that are producing results, or do I need a new approach?”

If you find you aren’t taking action steps towards the signs, ask yourself “why not?”. Are you moving to fast that it is becoming intimidating? Have you lost alignment with your intention? Has your intention triggered a past trauma or a limiting belief

If you are having difficulty taking the necessary action, remember to be kind to yourself. Personal growth can be difficult and painful. You’re growing as a person and evolving into a new version of you which can take some time.

Your thoughts create your actions

The universe multiples what you do, not what you say.

You might want love in your life, but you feel lonely, and you isolate yourself from others and their potential judgements, you’re telling the Universe that you would rather be on your own. You are closing yourself off to accepting love into your life.

Essentially, this will manifest into you attracting selfish and judgemental people into your life; people you don’t want to spend time with or even trust.

Your thoughts are important; they lead you to the actions you will take, which the Universe then multiples!

Your thoughts start with images and stories you create over your lifetime from your past experiences which can impact the choices you make. The more you become aware of your thoughts, the deeper you’ll understand your emotions which lead to your decision making. Ultimately once you know your thought patterns, you will start to achieve results.

If you made it all the way down here, thank you!

Hopefully, this post explaining the basics of manifestation inspires you to take action and ask the Universe for what you want, to be open on receiving and follow the breadcrumbs, take action and live your best life!
